Switch Over

I’ve mentioned this. What happens when you get busy at work. After a really busy day, sometimes you don’t want to study. You just want a break. With all the activity from the day’s work you don’t want to force your mind to switch over for more.

What does it take for you to switch over? A cup of coffee? A re-run of The Office? A polite reminder from your significant other? See if you can find out what it is. The architectural registration exam (for most) is a longterm excersize, and there will be days when you need to find the extra effort to switch over for more extra mental activity after work.

A break is key! Close to what your examples, another cup of coffee and a good episode of The Simpsons on our DVR, or a quick trip to the gym usually does the trick to clear my head and to squeeze a little more brainpower out of the day.

Thanks for sharing your method. Kicking back for a few minutes is just what’s needed sometimes before returning to that long term goal of concurring the exam.
